Katrina Koller, Body In Balance Therapeutic Massage

Katrina Koller is a clinically trained massage therapist practicing a unique blend of Structural Rehabilitative Massage and self-care education. A student of bodywork for nearly a decade, Katrina has drawn much of her deeper knowledge of massage and bodywork through her own personal experiences with injuries working alongside Physical Therapists and Sports Medicine specialists both here in the US and abroad. Her initial interest in setting up a private practice in Minnesota stemmed from her frustration in finding advanced rehabilitative therapists in the Twin Cities. Having relocated to south Minneapolis from Europe where massage therapists and Alternative care providers are better integrated into the medical system, Koller is passionate about teaming with Physicians, Physical Therapists, Personal Trainers, and Alternative care providers to help her clients resume their activities or enhance their fitness level faster.

Structural Massage is a multi-disciplinary approach that recognizes universal orthopedic assessment protocols and a variety of deep tissue techniques to treat discomfort caused by injury, overuse, postural issues, disease, or stress. Katrina is passionate about uncovering complex pain patterns to help clients recover from an injury, become more active, improve their athletic performance or simply de-compress from the daily stresses of life.

Certified in Rehabilitative and Therapeutic massage through Northwestern Health Sciences University, Katrina served as an intern at Regions Hospital in St. Paul and at Pillsbury Health Clinic in Minneapolis. She holds certifications in Integrative Health and Wellness, Personal Training, Massage for the Medically Frail Population, and Holistic Fitness. She is also currently completing National certifications in Orthopedic Massage and Advanced Massage through NCBTMB. Other technical training includes Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Soft Tissue Release (British Sports Therapy), Thai Massage and Reflexology.
